
Dr. Aliza Ponce, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Aliza is a native of Brownsville, Texas and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology as part of the first-graduating class from the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley in 2015. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Incarnate Word (UIW) in 2020. In 2019, during her time at UIW, she traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico as part of the Quijotes of San Antonio to provide health care services to the underserved indigenous communities of Oaxaca.
Aliza has experience working with various patients including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Specifically, her experience includes treating orthopedic and neurological injuries, post-operative care, generalized deconditioning, and chronic pain. She provides individualized patient-centered care using education, therapeutic exercise, and manual therapy.
In her free time, Aliza enjoys watching movies and staying active through weight training or playing tennis. She enjoys the opportunity to provide physical therapy services to the underserved communities and hopes to continue pursuing mission work throughout her career.
